Oysters all year round from tide to table

The Far South Coast is famous for its oysters, whether you love them or hate them. Sit down by the river that overlooks the oyster farm or shuck your own oysters at Broadwater Oysters for a different experience.

Since landing in Eden we've managed to get ourselves to a few of SO MANY oyster farms around the area. You'll find oyster farms scattered the whole way down the coast from Narooma to Eden (there's probably more too). Narooma is home to the Narooma Oyster Festival on annually around May. Anyways we were happy to find out that very close to the ranch we have some of the best farms and some that are really open to sharing their knowledge with experiences!

If you haven't tried oysters fresh from a farm before (and you like oysters) you're in for a real treat, there's really nothing like that tide to table freshness. The only trouble is they go down so easy they'll be gone before you've blinked.

Tried and tested by us!

Broadwater Oysters - Broadwater This would be the closest oyster farm to the ranch (we think) it's located at the Pambula River Boat Ramp which is a great spot in itself. The guys here have put up some picnic tables and umbrellas so you can really spend an afternoon by the river, or you could take down a picnic blanket there's plenty of room around the area to relax and enjoy the sun and scenery. Great for kids and doggos.

Broadwater Oysters are an award-winning Sydney Rock Oyster farm, so you know they're going to be good. They not only offer a suite of oysters how you like them, they offer experiences too. You can sign up for one of their Farm tours, Oyster School or get out there on a kayak and shuck some oysters with their pals from Navigate Expeditions.
